Sleep....

Physics Cartoon 1827Sleep is essential for life.  I need b between six and eight hours of sleep everyday  to be able to function properly in my daily life.  Everybody varies in the amount they need.  There are days that you can go with almost no sleep and there are other times that you have more than enough sleep and you are still tired.  The human body needs balance and that includes with sleep as well.  Varying sleep could also effect weight loss or gain.  It also has an effect on sexual performance.
Many times people try to go without sleep for long periods of time and the consequences are brutal.  To go without the proper amounts of sleep could lead a number of sicknesses, heart disease, high blood pressure, weight gain and mental dysfunction.
Sometimes when a person has too much sleep the effects are detrimental as well.  If I happen to sleep more than eight hours straight, my head is aching and my back needs stretching.  I am as cranky as I would be when when I have had little or no sleep. As I grow older the amount of sleep I require is less than what my growing children need.
With the economy fluctuating the way it does, our job s require more of us.  This leads to sleep less to be able to fit all our other things in our routine.    Some people hardly ever sleep because the need to juggle all their tasks to maintain their lifestyle.  The more your needs grow the less you sleep.  In the end wanting less means sleeping more.
