Some people are not worth the headache...

Who gives you the right to start bossing around..Change is hard to digest. People are many times in their own world and have no regard for others. The disregard for others feelings is the cause of many a misunderstanding. It is alright to care about yourself but with the idea that there are are other people around. Everyone seems to be on another planet. If people can show a little care and regard for their fellow person the society we live in would be a whole lot more desirable. Even though we are born one at a time one this earth our actions affect the actions of other people living in our society. Even if a person is single or married an only child or with siblings he and/or she is responsible for their actions and counter actions. There are people in the world that cause more trouble than their acquaintance is worth. Personalities vary from person to person. There is no reason people cannot get along other than the fact that some people they are god's gift to the world. We are all gifts to the world. No one person is more valuable spiritually than another person.

When is a joke a Joke...

Sometimes people do not know how or when to stop. A person walking on the sidewalk is suddenly shaken as a car slams on the brakes inches before hitting him. The driver of the car gets out of the vehicle and laughingly apologizes to the person on the sidewalk. Practical jokes sometimes end up with a quite a bit of grief for all parties involved. Misunderstandings begin from one persons misjudgment. We cannot stop a persons thought pattern. Every person is raised differently and has the basically the same first steps. Although each person is driven by their own mind and is able decisions uniquely. It is interesting g to see how people get easily upset. At five o'clock in the morning when someone jokes with you will have a different outcome than to have the same scene played in the afternoon. Life gets complicated because people make it this way. Problems are everywhere and many time we do not realize it. When you do not know someone very well any actions could end up with unexpected results. Life is getting faster and people are getting lonelier, the need for attention is everywhere.

Hugging......a form of greeting.....not sexual...

There is nothing sexual about a hug...............unless you want there to be. Today was a wonderful day together with friends new and old. Just because you hug someone does not mean you are in love or want sexual relations.

Lentil soup.....

Lentil soup is my least favorite food. My oldest son Peter has gotten the cooking bug...Every free moment he has, the is making some kind of food. I usually taste everything he offers me. When he makes lentils either by themselves or with something else, I refuse to try them. Lentils have a funny texture in the mouth when they are cooked and in my mouth. They taste like eating powdered medicine.
my son is sixteen years old and is in a period of his life where I am vital in his life learning.
Why do I have to eat something that traumatized me as a child...To make my son happy...no way let him cook some that has nothing to do with lentils.  Might as well ask me what I would like to eat and I would eat it.

What is the Best way to a mans Heart? Inquiring minds want to know..

Men and women are the same and different. People in general are the same and have the same basic needs....which are to procreate and and to have sexual relations for pleasure. In addition the need to eat, drink, urinate, and defecate for health. People have feelings and emotions of happiness and sadness, the each have different ways of satisfying them. Men generally are thinkers and pass most of their decision making through their brain. Emotions in a man tend to be more cool and calm. When decisions for life are made with the brain there is more of a tendency for feelings not to be hurt. The outcomes from this way of thinking is less hurtful and longer lasting. Women are usually are full of feelings and they usually let their heart do the thinking. When emotions are processed through the heart judgement and logic is not used and the outcome will go either way. Most of the time decisions of the heart are painful. Men are by nature hunters. To be a good hunter a man has to use his mind in order to return home with a catch worthy of a meal. Women by nature are nurturers offer love and tenderness to the children and returning hunter. Instinctively, females are nurturing...and they are the bearers of children. The females also feed and love and nurture and feed the children by natures design. Many business dealings are usually decided over the course of a meal. The saying a way to a man's heart is through his stomach comes into play because when a man is eating he is usually concentrated on the meal and his heart is left wide open. When the mind is occupied the heart kicks and he then becomes softer and more agreeable.

Where are the mates of good stature?? My friends ask...

Every time I have a conversation with any one of my single friends, they ask, "where can I meet a nice person". My answer to them is, that people are everywhere, just open your senses [eyes ears,mouth nose(forget about touch until you finally meet the person)] and be flexible. Most of the single of my single friends have an idea of what they want in life. The main reasons my friends are single are two. First both men and women are not willing to budge from the idea of what they want in a mate or spouse. Second people looking for mates, are not looking for people that match their qualifications. Apples and oranges do not mix. The only way to mix the two would be in a blender and make juice. The blender of life is compromise, be flexible. Flexibility is a major part of life, and allows for every one to coexist harmoniously. On the other hand cats and dogs can like together harmoniously as long as they know each others boundaries. If you cannot afford the maintenance of a Rolls Royce then buy a Chevrolet. The same with people. How many times have we seen mismatches of couples? Fat short old man kissing a tall lanky blonde bombshell of a woman. Another example, Tall young athletic male hand in hand with and much older raggedy lady. Many people say that money is the motivator, maybe. What it really is, is personality. More times than not, charm wins over money. I say be yourself, when out looking for a friend for life. A person goes out a good time and the possibility of meeting someone be straight cut the fluff. The more truthful you are the better the chances of finding what you want. As a bartender I see many people trying to meet everyday at my bar. There is a song and dance being performed all the time by someone. For me the best place to meet any person would be in the daytime without the influence of alcohol. I met my wife at a church picnic on a Sunday afternoon. There is no religion involved when you go to such a gathering. The supermarket deli-counter is another spectacular place to talk to a person while they are waiting for their order, when they are off guard and natural. The car wash while you are waiting for your car to be cleaned inside and out strike up a conversation about your gas-guzzler versus a hybrid or the tires and mileage. The most unique way to meet a person would be standing in front of a parking meter and ask a passerby, if the had change in return for your paper money, to use for the parking meter. Opportunities are everywhere just try not to let them go. Remember be flexible and don to let chances go unexploited...And unless you are completely relaxed stay within your league. But if you are not relaxed you will never be happy. Tension is sensed by both sides and this is an unwanted trait.

Song and Dance...

Men and women essentially want the same thing in life...It is ok to have a "song and dance" by both parties to get what they want. Sometimes this act goes out of bounds and what ever people were looking for is forgotten. Both sexes want to meet each other. They both put up a song and dance to get what they want. The key is confidence. When a man approaches a woman in a weird hungry way the woman will be turned off. Since both men an women basically have the same needs, there should be no need for frivolities....simply yes or no. If the answer is yes then sing and dance. On the other hand if for whatever reason the answer is no, then move on the both of the. Stop wasting precious time. There is more of life to explore.

People are not in the mood...

People are not inn the mood. We wake up and thats all well and dandy but we are not in the mood. Why? We live in a world where we are competing with everyone. We all want what the other person has but we do not look and think if we really want these things or services. We want.....We want....We keep wanting....The key is to worry about what we NEED. If we as people relax and think about our needs more than our wants, the world we live in would be less aggressive. My stomach is full but I want a 72 ounce steak. I eat the enormous steak and I am full and want to loosen my belt and go to sleep. In the long run excess will bring disease and discomfort. People are constantly rushing to go to work and rushing to go home. They want to go to work so they can make money to buy more things that they think they want. People rush to go home and enjoy all that they bought. Needs are types of commodities. Things necessary for life to exist. Wants are extra items or services that get to have with the idea that we will extract more pleasure. Everyday I wake up is a good day. During the day if I can make a living without a tremendous hassle from outside forces, the day gets better. The day is at its greatest if at the end I go home with some money to continue supporting my needs. There would be no rushing no fighting no traffic jams if we all concentrated on our needs and not our wants. People would be in a better mood if they had less things to worry about.

Time.......we al need it.

Time we all need it to accomplish our different goals in line. What time is good for you for you for the meeting.....When do you think the assignment will be ready? How much time do you need? I remember going to visit my grandparents every summer. Each time they would hire a taxi to takes as a family to different places. My whole family would be sitting in cab waiting for my grand mother to get ready. My grand father would yell at my grandmother...."How long does it take you to put all that flour on your face?" An argument always ensued...They each shouted and cursed and in the end grandma live ten years longer than grandpa.. Things take as long as the take to be done. It is hard to foresee the unexpected. I started a project to demolish a building I own in the middle of 2009 and it took two years for the authorities to approve the demolition plans. The building is now down but have not yet been signed off as complete. Everything has a schedule and it does not pay to rush it. Rushing something does only one of two things. It either creates more problems and ultimately slows thing down or it causes more grief and aggravation in your life. More time or less time sometimes who care just get it done (or Gitter done according to Larry the Cableguy). More times than not things are not worth the agrevation. Time is precious do not waste it. Do what you have to with pleasure otherwise more things tend to go wrong and time is lost. If we waste time we end up in Miami feeding the pigeons sooner than we have too.

Sunday relax day...

Ever since my sons were able to understand I would tell them not to leave any homework for Sunday. All their lives I have been a pain about this subject. So far do you think they listened? No. Every Sunday I have to repeat myself. It is ten at night and the work is not yet done. In addition they some other of their friends in the house as well. I have to get up in my pajamas to tell everybody to go home. When I was a a child and even a teenager I would listen to my parents and respect the fact that I had everything I needed to live well. As every generation passes life changes with it. What to do? Just take a deep breath an let time pass. My children will grow up and have a family of their own. I think that this is the time I will sit back and laugh. What comes around goes around. Life is all about planning and preplanning in whatever needs to be done. Giving yourself time allows you to do more than one thing in a given period of time. The lesson i want to convey to my sons is not to leave everything for the end....

The cat is in the window...

Every time I look at the back window, there she is, the cat, Meow-Meow. It snowed this morning that cat sleep's outside. Meow-meow comes around for food everyday and hangs around to tease Dino the pit-bull terrier mix, our dog.These animals are about the same age. They are both about a year old. I have a feeling that Meow-Meow the back yard cat has the spirit of my dog Hercules. Hercules was a wonderful golden doodle that I had for fifteen months. He was run over by crazy driver in the middle of January 2011 as he was being walked in the morning at 5 am. He was a playful dog. My wife had the leash. It ad just snowed a huge amount. My wife slipped and Hercules got loose and at that moment a gold colored Nissan Ultima with four doors was speeding by. At that split second Hercules was hit. I carried him for three blocks in the snow to the veterinarian. We had no luck the office was closed and would not open until two hours later. Good by Hercules your time was until there. I was so upset that I told my boys no more dogs in the house. It is my fault that we have another dog now because I no more dogs unless they come to my house by accident or some one gave it to us for free. Guess what the dog we ha now came for free courtesy of my son Elias. Elias said to me that I mentioned the word FREE and now we have Dino an American Blue nose terrier mix. At about the same time came the cat Meow-Meow. My house is meant to have pets and came the cat Meow-Meow and Dino the dog. Pets bring laughter and relaxation to my house. The dog and the are simple animals that basically offer their attention in return for some food. I have said this once before, as people we make our lives complicated. Life should be easy if look at our needs and wants. Oh! The whole world might be better off if we become a little more simple...thank you Meow-Meow and Dino.

Natural, Forceps or C-section delivery.......

Natural, Forceps or C-sections delivery of newborn babies. Natural childbirth is by far the preferred method to bring bad into the world.
When there are complications and natural birth is not feasible there are forceps delivery and C-Section.
Forceps delivery is a method where a medical instrument that look like two salad spoons is inserted in the opening on the mother where the baby is coming out of. This method is safe for the mother but quite traumatic and dangerous to the baby. I was delivered through forceps method. I am alive and a father of three healthy sons but I suffer from hydrocephalus and blind in the left eye. These two gifts were courtesy of the forceps delivery. There are other children who were born this way and are fine. I have met many people that were born through this method and are suffering from a number of ailments. You ask me and I will tell you my mother should have had C Section. I was a perfectly healthy baby while I was in the womb whatever I have came after birth. C Sections do not hurt the baby. A Caesarean birth just just leaves a scar across the mothers lower abdomen. For the mothers that are not vain is perfectly fine especially if the baby is well.
When a couple choose to have a baby, everything until the birth should be about the perfect welfare of the child and nothing else. My parents did not speak English and were young and trusted the doctor to the right thing by them and the new born. My mother was good looking and the the doctor thought he was doing her a favor by doing a forceps delivery. The doctor got what was coming to him, he died of a massive heart attack less than two weeks after my birth.
If you care about the welfare of the new baby coming into your family, a Cesarian birth is my choice because it causes less trauma to the baby. My three sons were born through C Section and they are perfectly fine. When I was born my head was squeezed by the forceps and the optical nerve was damages as well as the creation of hydrocephalus like conditions. The symptoms passed by the age of three by the eye remained permanently dead. At the age of seven Hydrocephalus came back again courtesy of curious and over zealous doctors. I was given a pneumoencephalogram. the precurser to the CT-scan. Too much air in the brain doctors could figure out how to remove the air so back to the shunt. Doctors thank you very much......

Bankruptcy or not?

Bankruptcy or not is a good question. For people, corporations it is different from countries to declare that there is no more money. When a person declares that he/she is broke, there are certain government protections and they can have credit cards or loans for about seven years. When a corporation goes bankrupt, there are stages depending on the levels of defecite...monies owed...People will suffer pay cut give backs, firings and layoffs. When a government goes under, it takes such a long time because there also stages. Usually the country will try taxes. Other times it will print more money but in the long run this create more defecite because people in that country would buy less with the same amount. What to do? very complicated because counties are very large and in counties live people that have needs for services. Many people are used to the services offered in the country they live in. When there need to be cuts in the services or increases in the taxes charged people usually go ballistic. Boston tea party all over again. Looking back the colonists were upset at paying taxes for no services. Today we are to the same situation when we declared independence. The taxes have gotten so high that many times does not justify the minimal amount of goods and services supplied. Again, people will suffer taxes, less buying power, unemployment, more homeless, more cuts in basic services(health education and welfare). So for the greater good in all cases there appears to be suffering. For those that have not planned right....they usually extend the middle finger to this news. For all the others it is a lesson, that with proper planning nothing more than a slight adjustment in their diets will occur. Lobster and steak everyday are not good for our health anyhow....So belt tightening means more soup and vegetables and lower cholesterol and diabetes, blood pressure and obesity problems. Eat less save more, this means more money far ahead more savings. Wow! What a novel idea... All I can tell you that the world is moving forward and progressing and people are eventually better but in between the good times and bad, people suffer.

Talk or not...

There are times that you want to say something.....There are other times it is better not to say anything. The key is to know when to do what. Some people never learn this skill or art no matter how much time passes. People skills are very important in life. Choices are part of everyday life do I tell my friend that he has been living with his parents way too long and his lie is stuck because of this or not. Wel I told my friend that everyone makes their own bed what ever happens they would have to live with the consequences. Kenny Rogers always sings you have to know when to hold'em and when to fold 'em. In life we have choices, it is always better to talk things out it is called Diplomacy. There are other times when you have talked things out that talking stops and bang, boom, slap, punch. scratch or poke begin. It seems to me the key is not to let the talking stop until all is good. Children...when they're small you want them grow....now that they are older......Oh Boy!

A man and woman meet, they date for a while and somewhere along the way babies come along. When the children are babies, there are moments the screaming and crying is so intense that many times you wish they would grown so that could tell you what is ailing them. Later down the road of bliss your wish come true. Babies are no longer tiny and screeching...They are growing and grown and the noise becomes conversations and/or arguments about the silliest topics. The saying "little children little problems- big children big problems is VERY true. What to do?.....Atake life in stride and realize that time goes so fast that before you know it your children will have their own kiddies and provided your relationship are good you will have your payback, your grand babies will be the same as your children when they were young.

Work to live...

Work to live is mostly correct for me. On the other hand I go to work to relax and be with strangers that have bigger problems than my own. As a bartender I get to listen and be listened to. Many times talking to people that are not related to you is a cleansing experience. A Bartender is one of those people that has a personal connection with his client.....Like a priest, lawyer, barber, accountant. Whatever is said between these people is supposed to be private. Conversations are soothing and enlightening. Usually after a session with any of these type of confidants there is a great relief of pressure. When I am behind the bar not only do my customers feel great..........so do I. A teacher not only teaches, he/she learns simultaneously. Work to live...to work.........................................What a cycle of need.

Cat's and their habits

This morning like every morning my cat Meow-Meow was waiting at the door to greet me and ask for food. Well! There was plenty of food out there because this weekend we had brought back plenty of seafood leftovers. This cat is turning out to be a picky eater. I had to clean the area and lay out fresh food before she would start eating. Cats appear to me to be quite more sanitary than dogs.

Not everyone is a Morning Person.

No matter what time i go to bed nor what time i get up my personality is always the same. Not everyone is like me. It is a good thing there are goose feathers and cotton balls, for those people that are no like me, so they can rest on a soft place. I understand that I have had several brain surgeries but why do people who have had no surgery act as if they need some intervention? Those people refuse to face reality.

Interenet purchases...........

What is the point of shopping on the internet if the customer service sucks....I bought a pair of pants from sears.com and when the got delivered, tried them on. Guess what they did not fit. What do I do? Return them to the nearest Sears. They refuse to accept the return. Later I called the Sears 800 number, the person I spoke to sent me back to the store. On my second visit to the store it took three people to figure out how to accept the return.
I went back to the store because to return things by courier I would have to pay. Why?
In my youth, I worked for Bloomingdale's as a salesman. Today I am busy working for myself and as a bartender for The Waldorf Astoria. When do i have the time for shopping? Rarely. I occasionally buy items from the internet to save time. Here is an example that the WEB wasted my time. For me and most all of us time is very precious. For this reason regular shopping at least for clothes beat the NET.

Tips for Service

When people go out to party they should consider the people that make time out special.

People are never happy.

People are always looking for something else. If they have what they want that's it for a while. Then they look for something better or different. It's hot we want cold, it's cold we want sweet, it's sweet we want cold and salty or hot and spicy. We pick republican and then we have hike the we want democrat. We married to a model then we want a different model. We have a nag and give it up for a different nag. In the end a Nag is a Nag. In adult business dealings there is an agreement goods and services in exchange for an agreed amount of cash. If you receive your goods and service at a slow pace the monies should be delivered in the same manner. We all need to live and survive. Apparently everyone in life is a type of nag. For money or for space people are always at each other.We should all say leave me alone you have what you asked for....I did the best I could.

Christmas ham..............

I bought two ham by accident when I went Christmas shopping. Three hours of baking with cinnamon maple glaze. Ham is one of the most versatile foods and the leftovers go to the pets.
Well after a night full of lobster oreganatta baked ham sounds like a good switch. Two and a half hours in the oven will give me ample time to finish yesterday's unfinished business.
I found out that is I consume not more than 1500 calories a day I would loose the fifty pounds I want to loose. Lighter weight better back maybe less surgery or even no surgery.
Protein, protein, protein that the way to go.

Saturday................

You start the day to do one thing and you do everything but what you started to do. When the day is planned with a group there is always anarchy. The original idea goes out the window. Sometimes it is better to do things by yourself; this way you will at least do what you want to do.
When you start the day as a group there is one plan on your mind bu the rest of the people in the group also have ideas..........................
Only at the end of the day do you realize if you accomplished what you wanted.

Elections So What.

Democracy the Greeks Invented it....the voice of the people. Elections are a way citizens express their voice in government and the way it should run. We have elections for president every four years. The job of President is probably the hardest job. Unfortunately the quality of the people running for the job are getting less and less.
So we have elections to choose a leader but if this said candidate is less qualified than the previous President are we moving forward or not. This leads me to believe that if he is not so qualified for the position someone or group is really leading.
Elections or not the line is already drawn. Democracy or not?
Probably more fun to talk about dogs and cats.

Looking at my sons dog Dino and the cat that I feeding my back yard......They are easily satisfied (a meal here and there, urination and defacation a an occasion fornication). I think we should simplify all our problems to the level of animals.
I do not think that if I was a dog or a cat my life would be so bad. Dino and the backyard cat (Meow-meow for argument sake) seem to be getting along just fine...The Dino is inside most of the day and the cat is outside while my family are out about our weekly business. When we all return in the evening our pets still remain calm toward each other... If I compare humans with the differences the difference that were in the morning will still be in the evening.
I say give humans the basic necessities of life and all else doable. Woof-woof....Meow-meow..

Contractors are a force to be recon with.

It does not matter how much money you pay a contractor or what is written in the contract. They will finish the job according to their schedule. Things are not the way they were in our parents times. Years ago, a handshake meant something. Today the handshake is equal to spit on the floor. Sad that time is going in this direction.
We all work for a living and are all responsible to expedite our goods and service for the time period agreed.
When it comes to contractors...progress sucks!

People.....Everyday they surprise me........

I go to my office every morning Monday to Friday. Every morning I have a visitor. I like to check my emails listen to music. The visitor changes my music and is very edgy with comments. The visitor thinks that they are the only one that is correct.
I must be an easy going person. Sometimes I would rather let things pass. It is all about choosing my battles. All people are basically good it is just that they all come from a different environment an d it takes a while to adjust for me and them.. This leads me back to my dog and cat situation.
I have a pit bull boxer mix that belongs to my son Elias. I also have a kitten that chose me after the fact that I have been leaving food out for it ever chance I get. The dog sits in the back window all day long the cat is on the other side of the same window. These two animals are tolerating each other. The same with people we should all learn from our pets....It seems they have more common sense.
I do not the feeling I get from aggregation for no reason. There are people that like excitement in their lives at the expense of others. Depending on who it is I do not give them the benefit o=r the pleasure at my expense. Pick and choose that is my way.....

My cat dog situation..

It interest ion to see that animals have feelings too. I have been feeding a cat in my backyard but what I have discovered is that she makes me put more food out sometimes. I discovered that the food goes to two other kittens that she wants to share with.
I have seen her step back and wait for the smaller cats to eat first. It is interesting to say that animals at times are nicer than humans.

Monday's....

Ever since I was a child I never liked mondays. never enough sleep and must be ready for action Monday morning. Mondays are good for business and that's it. You never sleep well on Sundays, too many things on your mind.
Think you are going to rest but always something happens that takes precedence.

Expensive chairs worth alot of pain.

Fifteen years ago I bought a nice chair for my office. I paid quite a few bucks. Today this expensive leather office chair is aggravating my sciatica. Expensive does not always means good.
As we get older our bodies change, our needs are different. I want to sit by the computer to work and at the end I end up in pain and in bed to get relief.
So..stop smoking..stop drinking,,stop eating...stop etc..and now what where you sit. What a wonderful life.
In the end...expensive does not mean it is better or better for life.

The Godfather.....

Why is it that people think that they are always right. My middle sons Godfather thinks that life revolves around him and he was right to argue with my son when he was eleven years old.
Whatever the argument was back then (my son is now 14) should have been forgiven by the adult.
Is it not silly to force a child to choose dancing over soccer or vice-verso.
Adult that choose to have arguments with children are silly.
Adults are not to argue with children and take it seriously.
The the Godfather told his Godson that soccer is more important than the folk-dancing performance. I think he is wrong.

The Cafeteria Lady..

I have three sons, ages 16,14,and 8 years old.  Well, the boys are in public school and eat lunch in school.  I give them money to purchase food which they like.  There are days that the boys are short funds.  The cafeteria lady chooses to write an email to request the funds.  This is o.k.
Why, I say WHY, does She send an email for money when there is NO balance?  Her answer is that there should a ten balance on hand at all times.   Where is my interest on the funds?   I must be joking.  I should be responsible for things I consumed, NOT for things I might use or eat.

What's the story with metabolism.....fast or slow, old or young

I eat like a pigeon but I am overweight.  I am about one hundred pounds heavier than I was in high school. I exercise about an hour a day.  The word is METABOLISM.  How fast the body burns the calories that are taken in.
This diet that diet, eat don't eat what gives.  We live in a world that business is such that foods are made to make you fat, diabetic full of diseases.  Bingo, another market is created to make you slim.

The secret is moderation.  Well that's easy for you to say.  I love chocolate.....chocolate does not love me.  Chocolate cannot be in my house because I will find it.
The key would be what? MODERATION.  Know that if take in one you have to burn one.  If a person wants to loose weight they must burn more than they take in.  REVELATION!!!!   If it goes in it must go out.

What happened to the good old days....yes was yes and no was no?   Today, yes could no and no could mean  yes.  No mo more clarity.  This is why we are not sure.
