Women and the Weather.....Unpredictable.

Yesterday I woke up and did my usual routine.  A half an hour massage, half hour on the elliptical, some stretching, and a shower.  When I left the house the weather outside was relatively calm but quite cold.  On my way to work rain started and then later it turn to snow and then around the middle of the day the weather move to sunshine and then to hale.
A woman's personality is just as erratic.  When a woman wake's up she looks around and everything going on in her mind is calm.  An hour or two later she is sweaty and cranky.  A few hours pass and the same lady is all giddy and full of passion.  The makes a person think, whoever is in control of the weather, has to be a woman....

Ready for University and Your Tail is Wagging.

I have three sons.  Ever since I have been married, my dream was to have children that will grow up to be good citizens and respectful to me.  When my boys were born, they would cry when ever they needed something.  I would always say I wish they could tell me what they want with out making so much noise.  Every no-and-then my wife would say be careful what you wish for.   Once the boys start talking I could have an intelligent conversation.  Yes we have conversation with my boys toady but the know it all.  I am always wrong to them or not right.  I seem to be intruding or not doing things according to their standards.  I am my children's parent, it means I am more important than their friends.
I am never in the mood for an argument.  I just want my boys to learn in life and not get hurt.  My oldest son Peter is going to university in September 2013.  He is now getting all his paperwork together and has applied to a number of schools for acceptance.  From his behavior and his likes, I have always known where his calling is.  In all the years we would talk and I would ask him to get involved with certain thing in school and the community, he would always answer a very emphatic "NO".
There are some people that lead their lives and let their children act and do whatever.  This is not me!..  My children are my investment in life and the better they do, the better I do!  I am not an ogre, just a parent that wants his children to end up successful.  The lyrics from the song It's my life and I'll do what I want!"should have nothing to do with me and my boys, at least as long as I am paying the bills.
Every child wants to flap his or her wings and I do not begrudge them the right to do so.  Just please do not do anything that will screw up your life and mine!

You want a relationship? Follow the unwritten rules.

Every couple of weeks or so my next door neighbor offers to buy me dinner.  He likes a particular waitress at a certain Mexican restaurant.  Well!  I like Mexican food and especially if someone else is paying.  Listen I am in my late forties and he is in his early fifties and the waitress is in her late twenties.  I am an only child and have always been used to doing things by myself and never really had any problem  with initiating relationships, whether for business or pleasure.

The unwritten rule when a man meets a lady, and they seem to like each other they should exchange information and attempt  to call her with in  two or three days and talk and perhaps make arrangements to meet again.  It is not wrong for the woman to expect to be courted.  It is silly for the man to think that  he is to wait for the woman to make the first move.

Three's a Crowd (1927) / The Chaser (1928)
I do not understand what part of my friends brain is stuck.  He is from South America (Ecuador) and the men from this part of the world are considered to be world-class charmers / lovers.  Something is missing with him.
I am the kind of person, that when I want something or someone, I will do what I have to win the person or thing.  I might be wrong but my free Mexican dinner is delicious.  I offer advice as a friend  and someone who has had more than his fair share of rejections.  Looking at my dinner from another point of view, the more my friend likes the waitress and the longer she does not call him the more dinners I will not have to pay for, or until I get tired of eating Mexican.
There has to be a spark of light to be seen from both sides as a sign that the  relation is going to go further.  Neither the man or the woman should think that they are better than the other.  Being cool and calm is the key to victory.  If either party exhibits signs of hunger or desperation than things become spooked and things fall  apart.
When you are out and are looking to meet someone, please be relaxed and do not be expecting of anything, this will in turn work in your favor and you might even find a person  that is interested.

Gobble-Gobble.....Time for Turkey

Thanksgiving an annual American holiday representing the pilgrims being saved with the discovery of food.  This year the "boss" went shopping and she was given a turkey for Thanksgiving.  I am not a big fan of any type of poultry  but now that we have it it must be cooked.  Well, you know what I have decided that I am going to cook it outside on the rotisserie.

The turkey is native to the Americas and when the Pilgrims landed, were running wild throughout the land.
I am going to bend and eat turkey this year, being that I am going to cook it.  It is a thirteen pound bird and it should take about four hours of turning at 350 degrees fahrenheit.  I have discussed the turkey with several chef friends of mine and they have suggested that the bird be in a brine solution for 24 hours prior to it being cooked.

Menopause......can drive everybody nuts.

Life goes through stages from the time we are born.  Men and and women have very few differences but the most evident and disruptive is menopause.  This is a stage in a woman's life, in that her hormones interfere with her feelings and her life goes haywire and in turn one minute she is hot and the next she is cold.  On the other hand a woman's mind could answer "yes" and the next it could be "no".
One minute she is happy-go-lucky and the next she is the devil in a dress.  A pretty flower that when picked you get a hand full of thorns.
The best thing to do, when a woman is at any stage of menopause, is to stay away or leave her alone for she knows not what she is doing or saying.  A couple could be having a peaceful conversation one moment and the next she is either crying or yelling.
Be diplomatic....Do  not try to find the logic because there is none.  A woman  during menopause think that there is nothing wrong with them and that everything is normal and that everybody else is in the wrong....
TOTAL DISTORTION!!!

What goes around comes around...

We have become a world of tattletales and no one minds their own business anymore.  If you are going to take it upon yourself to correct every wrong there is, you had better be squeaky clean other wise things will backfire you will be in a mess that is started by you.
Just because you are in a manage position, does not mean you know what is going on.  If you want to look good to the boss, just wear a clean suit and do your job.  If you try to mop up, look at yourself first.  At on of the places I work there was a supervisor that thought he should be "Mr. Clean-up".  Well!  Mr Clean-up was not what he wanted everyone else to be.  He was always looking to get employees on any technicality.  Don't let the door hit you where the sun does not shine.  You cannot mop the floor with a dirty mop.  The bully manager got fired for doing the nasty with a female coworker in a store room, while his wife was home pregnant.  Sound like his health insurance is no more.   What will he tell his wife?  The baby need to be born but I had needs that got me fired.  "Hit the road Jack and don't come back no more"!

Fight for your rights!!!

The world of today is overpopulated and over produced.  Everyone is competing for the limited number of spaces, whether they be for work or school or housing.  With every new generation coming of age two or three older generations are displaced.  The problem is that they are left with out a spot way before it is time for them to change.
People go to school and university.  Later they land a job,(for some it is a dream job) and devote their time and energy all the way.  Due the maximization of resources in business, when there is over production, the line stops and people suffer.  Layoff's buyouts and firings are a form of correcting the economy but with these actions being implemented people suffer.  In an economy that is in its infancy, planning is much simpler and mistakes are absorbed much easier.  In an economy that is very intertwined with economies any move be it larger or small needs more thought.
In the case where people become displaced negotiations for their rights become more delicate and if those being on the loosing end should stand their ground, otherwise, they will be left without a venerable compensation.
Every moment of every day is a negotiation and many times a struggle for a person to achieve what they want.  Whether we are in a capitalist system or a communist system people need to be busy producing.  Unfortunately the comes a point in both system that there is over production and people need to be redirected.  The bad thing about retraining people is that many times it happens at in opportune times.
Even though we live in a free society,
ironically nothing comes free or easy.
