Thanksgiving an annual American holiday representing the pilgrims being saved with the discovery of food. This year the "boss" went shopping and she was given a turkey for Thanksgiving. I am not a big fan of any type of poultry but now that we have it it must be cooked. Well, you know what I have decided that I am going to cook it outside on the rotisserie.
The turkey is native to the Americas and when the Pilgrims landed, were running wild throughout the land.
I am going to bend and eat turkey this year, being that I am going to cook it. It is a thirteen pound bird and it should take about four hours of turning at 350 degrees fahrenheit. I have discussed the turkey with several chef friends of mine and they have suggested that the bird be in a brine solution for 24 hours prior to it being cooked.
