Many times it is easier just to go along with the flow than to put up a fight. On the other hand my father comes from a generation that believes you should fight for every little thing. If we choose to fight for every little thing, we loose time from our life. In the case where the argument is petty, we move along. There are many cases where the reason for the fight seems small but in the wide spectrum of life the fight will lead to a larger much more complicated picture.
